Thin Line Fest returns to Denton March 18–22, presenting a multi-disciplinary celebration of documentary storytelling through photography, film, and music. Anchored in nonfiction perspectives and contemporary visual culture, the festival transforms the walkable Downtown Denton Square into a citywide exhibition experience.
Photography remains central to Thin Line’s identity, with this year’s program featuring acclaimed Texas photographer Byrd Williams IV, exhibiting selections from past bodies of work alongside new photographs not yet publicly exhibited. Williams’ exhibition is presented in dialogue with artist Stacy Bailey, whose work expands the conversation around memory, identity, and lived experience.
Featured Photographer Arthur Fields will present work from his ongoing project In-Between Spaces at the Bearded Monk, exploring quiet transitional environments and overlooked moments within the built landscape. Featured Photographer Angilee Wilkerson will exhibit photographs from Perform La Femme, a project examining performance, gender, and self-representation through staged and observational imagery.
Additionally, Thin Line Fest showcases 181 photographs by 70 regional, national, and international photographers, installed across five galleries located within steps of one another around the Downtown Denton Square.
All exhibitions and events are free.
