   Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council to meet March 26, 2026.
NOAA’s Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council will meet on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. HST. During the meeting, the council will receive an update from the sanctuary superintendent and review and finalize its new two-year work plan. The meeting will take place at the sanctuary’s visitor center in Kīhei, Maui (726 South Kīhei Road, Kīhei, HI). Members of the public are welcome to attend in person or virtually. Those who wish to join online must complete the registration form to receive Google Meet access details. A public comment period is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. HST.
The sanctuary is administered by a partnership of NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries and the State of Hawai‘i through the Division of Aquatic Resources. The sanctuary works to protect humpback whales and their habitat through research, education, conservation and stewardship. Join us on Facebook.
