Mehmet is 18 and grew up in London, where he was often exposed to stories of knife and gun crime and experienced intimidating behaviour. One day, he came across a calisthenics session at a Steel Warriors outdoor gym. Steel Warriors transform confiscated knives into outdoor gyms and support young people affected by crime and social exclusion. Mehmet got involved and quickly found a strong sense of community – significantly improving his mental and physical health. |
