CFTC closely watching oil futures market after trading spikes
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has said it's monitoring the oil futures market for unusual activity after a significant trading spike occurred before President Donald Trump postponed strikes on Iran. "I can't comment on what we're investigating or not investigating," CFTC Enforcement Director David Miller said. "All I'll just say is we're watching."

JPMorgan mulls prediction market services for clients
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has said the bank is considering offering prediction market services similar to those of Kalshi and Polymarket. "We're not going be in sports. We're not going be in politics. There's a bunch of stuff we won't do. And obviously, we have strict rules around insider information," Dimon clarified. He added that "for the most part" prediction markets are "more like gambling" but "there are areas where you could say, 'no, it's investing.'"
