We've updated our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to reflect ongoing improvements to Dashlane's Services. Key changes include revisions to the Privacy Policy required by evolving state laws and clarifications on the use of the Sharing Feature in the Terms of Service.

In connection with these updates, we've strengthened the cryptographic standards that protect your data to better secure your data in an ever-evolving threat landscape.

Going forward, Argon2 will be the only encryption used to protect Dashlane vaults. Support for the older and less secure PBKDF2 will be removed on June 15, 2026.

Who this affects?
This update only applies to accounts using a Master Password. You can check your encryption settings in your Security Settings to confirm that Argon2d is selected.

Next steps
If your account is currently configured to use PBKDF2, you must switch to Argon2d prior to June 15 to retain access to your vault. The update will occur automatically the first time you log into your account between April 8 and June 15.
