Hi Jan,
I wanted to share something a little different that is happening at the Iceberg Summit this year.
We are doing in-person book signings at lunch on both days of the conference.
On April 8 at 12:30pm, Jason Hughes and I will be signing copies of Apache Iceberg: The Definitive Guide. Andrew Madson and I will also be signing Apache Polaris: The Definitive Guide at the same session.
On April 9 at 12:30pm, Matt Topol will be signing copies of In-Memory Analytics with Apache Arrow, and Dipankar Mazumdar will be signing Engineering Lakehouses with Open Table Formats, which covers Apache Iceberg, Apache Hudi, and Delta Lake.
We are bringing 100 copies of each book. That is the hard limit. When they are gone they are gone.
If you have been meaning to pick up any of these books, coming to the Summit and getting a signed copy from the author at lunch is a pretty good deal on top of two full days of sessions.
Worth nothing: Dipankar is also presenting a session on Day 2 called "Debugging Iceberg in Production: OOMs, Conflicts, and NotFoundExceptions" which is the kind of practical talk I think a lot of people have been waiting for someone to give.
