Hi Jan,
We are a few days out from the Iceberg Summit and I wanted to send a final note before things get hectic.
April 8 and 9. Marriott Marquis, San Francisco. The conference starts at 8am on Wednesday with breakfast and registration.
Here is what I would not miss across the two days:
Russell Spitzer opening Day 1 on the future of Iceberg for streaming and AI. Julien Le Dem opening Day 2 on what column storage looks like in the AI era. The practitioner sessions from Slack, Bloomberg, Apple, Akamai, and Grab. The spec sessions on v3 and v4. The workshops if you can still get a seat. And both book signing sessions at lunch.
On April 8 at lunch Jason Hughes, Andrew Madson, and I will be signing copies of Apache Iceberg: The Definitive Guide and Apache Polaris: The Definitive Guide. On April 9 at lunch Matt Topol and Dipankar Mazumdar will be signing their books as well. 100 copies per title and not a single one more.
If you have not registered yet, now is the time. Workshop seats in particular are limited.
If you are already registered, I will see you there. Come find me.
