Dear Sangster families,
Hope everyone had a great Spring Break! We're excited to round out the school year with our last few events.
The Fun Run is this Saturday! You can still sign up for late registration on Givebacks. Late registration allows anyone to participate in the run, but does not include a t-shirt.
Save the date for our last two events of the year! A spring movie night on April 24 and Spring Carnival on May 15. These are two awesome events, so you don't want to miss out! Pizza orders can now be made on Givebacks for the movie night. Volunteers are also needed for both events; see info below.
Details of open roles for the 2026–2027 school year can be found below. We are still looking for a Secretary and a Spirit Wear Coordinator. We must fill the Secretary spot to have a PTA next year. Without the PTA none of these fabulous events will be able to take place. Reach out with any questions!

Course: 1.5 miles, with marked distances for all levels
Staggered Start Times:

9:00 a.m. – Wave 1 Families

10:00 a.m. – Wave 3 Families
Packet Pickup: Race morning at the school’s registration tables starting at 8:30 a.m.
Other Details:
- Water & concessions available
- Park in school lot/neighborhood
- No pets on school grounds
- Playground closed during the event

Cost: $25 per participating student (Adults & Children age 3 and under do not need tickets)

We are always looking for volunteers! Please take the time to complete the FCPS Volunteer Screening and fill out the Google Volunteer form so that we can add you to our email distribution list.
Sangster Administration has a need for library volunteers and cafe volunteers as well as occasional opportunities like picture day, field day, etc. Please complete the FCPS Volunteer screening to be considered for these events. Opportunities go out to the email list and also get posted to Facebook.

2026–2027 PTA Board

Secretary: The PTA Secretary coordinates and manages all virtual meeting logistics, including scheduling, distributing links, and gathering slides for the monthly PTA meeting. They prepare and present the approved PowerPoint for each meeting. The Secretary records accurate minutes and ensures approved minutes and Zoom recordings are delivered for online posting within four days of each General Membership meeting.

Spirit Wear: The PTA Spirit Wear Coordinator manages the selection, ordering, and distribution of school-branded apparel while coordinating sales campaigns and communication with families to support fundraising goals.

You are invited to join the unofficial Facebook group for the Sangster community, Sangster Parents.
