About the Annual Budget

The proposed fiscal year 2027 budget describes the city’s goals, proposed programs, and activities for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026. The budget review began when the city manager presented the proposed FY 2027 budget to the city council on Feb. 24. The city council will adopt the final budget on May 5.

Residents are encouraged to review the proposed budget on the city website or on Engage Fairfax, where questions and comments may be submitted. Both sites include answers to questions from city council members and residents.
