Hello,
Where your server runs affects every user who loads your site or calls your API. Latency climbs with distance. A server in Frankfurt feels noticeably slower to someone in Tokyo than one in Singapore does. And depending on what you're building, location can also affect regulatory compliance and data residency requirements.
It's a decision that's easier to get right before you deploy than after.
Where You Can Host with Contabo
We currently run across 11 Locations in 9 Regions worldwide:
Each location runs on the same hardware standards and platform. You get the same Contabo setup whether you're deploying in St. Louis or Singapore.
Choosing the Right One
For most projects, the logic is simple: deploy close to your users. A developer in Germany building for European customers belongs in Hub Europe. An e-commerce store serving Southeast Asia belongs in Singapore. A SaaS product with a US customer base will want one of the three US regions depending on where most users are concentrated.
For regulated industries like healthcare or finance, data residency often matters more than latency. The EU Region keeps data within the European Union, which covers GDPR requirements for most use cases. US Locations are covered when it comes to HIPAA regulations.
Running infrastructure across multiple regions? Deploying in two locations and routing users to the nearest one reduces latency across the board and adds resilience if one region has issues.

If you've been putting off deploying in a second region because of the added cost, now is a good time to act. For a limited time, location fees are reduced for all VPS plans from VPS 20 upwards and all VDS instances, across all Regions.
Make sure location doesn't let you down by hosting on the global Contabo Cloud.
