Hi Marek, We’ve spent the past year pushing for the EU’s next long-term budget to prioritize health, education, and global partnerships. But now, as negotiations heat up in Brussels, that focus is slipping. If you agree that Europe must invest in health and education in its development budget, add your name to our call to decision-makers to protect this funding:

Our message to the EU: Don't walk away from health and education! |

|
More attention is going to big, visible investments, and less to the basics that actually make societies work. When children grow up without access to healthcare, education, or adequate nutrition, it limits opportunities for years to come, for individuals and for entire economies. That’s why this moment matters. Investing in health and education is what underpins stability and long-term growth. Strengthening health systems alone could add $12 trillion to the global economy by 2040. Decisions are being made now that will shape priorities for years to come. We’re calling on the EU to dedicate 1 in 5 euros of its development budget to health, education, and other essential services. Add your name and help keep the focus where it belongs: on people.
In solidarity, Ciara Kristensen, ONE |
