Good morning Wentyl,

NSW's childcare services have been closed down, suspended or sanctioned due to serious non-compliance over supervision, access to hazards, inappropriate discipline and children escaping from care.

Hundreds of the state's childcare services have been slapped with fines and sanctions for serious breaches, as watchdog figures reveal more than 4,000 enforcement actions in just 12 months.

The Early Learning Commission issued 4,653 compliance actions, six involuntary suspensions and cancelled 19 service approvals in 2025.
