We are updating our terms of use and privacy policy.
In addition to some minor linguistic updates and adjustments to the section on commission and search features, the changes primarily concern update to the section on data sharing.
Below you can read more about what the changes mean for you. At the end of the email you can see when the changes take effect and how to contact us if you have any questions.
Data Sharing
Our current privacy policy states that we use data processors for purposes including hosting, technical operations, analytics, improvement of our services, and sending newsletters.
This section is now being updated to also clarify that in certain cases we may collaborate with advertising partners for users aged 18 and over.
The purpose is to be able to show you more relevant ads - both for GoWish and for products or services that may be of interest to you.
Among others, we work with the following digital media and advertising partners: Google LLC, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., TV 2 Danmark A/S, Dentsu A/S, Snap Group SAS.
In addition, GoWish may share relevant information in connection with research projects in the public interest, where this is done in accordance with applicable legislation.

What is the legal basis for processing?
The processing takes place on the basis of GoWish's legitimate interest in being able to display relevant advertisements and market our services, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Your options
If you do not wish for your information to be used for targeted advertising as described above, you can change your settings at any time.
You do so by logging in to your profile in the GoWish app or at gowish.com and navigating to the account settings on your user profile.
When do the changes take effect?
The changes to our processing of your personal data take effect on 23 April 2026.
If you continue to use GoWish’s services after this date, the updated terms and new privacy policy will apply. If you do not accept the changes, you can delete your account via your profile on the website or in the app.
