Losing 100kg is an incredible achievement we don't hear about often. But this week radio host and Sky News panellist Stephen Cenatiempo
has written an inspiring piece about how he did just that. Like many Aussies, he had struggled with his weight his whole life. So he is sharing his story to help others. Stephen writes:
“Firstly let me say that I’m a bit uncomfortable writing this because I’ve never seen myself as inspirational or extraordinary. I think I’m pretty good at what I do and I have some skills and insights that others don’t but beyond that I think I’m a pretty normal bloke. I’m no health guru, I’m just a talk radio announcer. However, my recent weight loss seems to have sparked some interest and I suppose if I can inspire others to turn their health around like I am doing, then it can only be a positive.”
 Meanwhile, our latest
morning routine article has given an interesting insight into just how big a difference an aged care doctor makes. As we’ve previously reported, the job is not something doctors are rushing to do, despite huge salaries.
Dr Anthony Marinucci is one of the specialist aged care GPs taking on the demanding role. His first meeting of the day was with six adult children and the partner of a gentleman living with advanced dementia. Later in the day he had a meeting with another family deeply divided on how to best care for his patient. You can read more about his work here.
Lastly, if you drink fruit juice you'll want to read this instalment of Shopping Swaps.
Reporter Taylor Penny took a look at the nutrition panels of 70 kinds of popular fruit juices sold in supermarkets. Her analysis uncovered a major difference in sugar content. Let us know at health@news.com.au if there's a product you want us to look into. Have a great week.
