Joseph S. Horky, 83, of Carol Stream, Illinois, passed away on April 2, 2026. Born on December 26, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to Edwin and Inez Horky. He was a proud member of IBEW Local 701 as an electrician. He retired on October 18, 2003. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was very much a family man and cherished his wife and son during their lifetime together. In later years he became very interested in woodworking. He spent many hours in his workshop building many things for his home. He is survived by his wife, Dee, of 45 years; son, Michael (Sarah) Horky; his sister, Regina Osborne; his brother, Edwin Horky; his niece,, Amy (Jason) Martyniuk; his great-niece, Arianna Martyniuk, and great-nephew, Kyle (Haley) Martyniuk. In the future there will be a celebration of Joe's life.
