Students learning together, thinking together, and growing together - through small group differentiated instruction designed just for them and collaborative math games that make laerning meaningful and fun!
Dear Families,
We want to let you know that we are resuming the conversation regarding potential boundary adjustments affecting the Greenway Downs, Jefferson Village, City Park Homes, and Kingsley Commons areas, as well as Glasgow Middle School changes related to Beech Tree and Belvedere elementary schools.
Several changes were previously considered with the goals of keeping neighborhoods together, eliminating attendance islands and schools outside of their boundaries, and addressing capacity concerns. We were unable to identify a viable solution within the timeline for the comprehensive boundary review and would like to revisit this conversation with the community. With the School Board approval of boundary changes in January 2026, the superintendent identified several areas, or “hot spots,” that require extended review to allow for additional community engagement and input. The Greenway Downs, Jefferson Village, City Park Homes, Kingsley Commons, and Glasgow Middle School communities are included in those areas. The superintendent directed staff to present boundary recommendations for those areas to the School Board by January 2027. Please join us for a community meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 6:30-8 p.m., at Falls Church High School. We will provide a recap of past boundary conversations and discuss next steps in the process. We will also review draft maps that were previously developed as a starting point and gather your feedback. Register to attend by clicking in person or virtual based on your preference.
Your input is essential, as we continue this work together to develop a boundary that best serves our students, families, and the community.
