But first: the pads that keep our frames in place

here's the plan

You worked hard enough this week. Let us plan your weekend…

  1. 1.

We didn’t have Zach Galifianakis hosting a gardening show on our 2026 bingo cards, but Netflix’s appropriately titled This Is a Gardening Show is here — and it’s already being called “perfect TV.” That’s because it has the dry humor of Between Two Ferns, the comfort of The Great British Bake Off, and covers everything from growing tomatoes to foraging your own food in 15-minute episodes. Translation: It’s the TV equivalent of touching grass, without leaving your couch.

  2. 2.

Millennials, breathe a sigh of relief: Leggings aren’t dead — we’re just wearing them wrong. Here are the new rules to follow before we embarrass ourselves this weekend.

  3. 3.

You either know Melissa Ben-Ishay as Baked by Melissa or the woman who single-handedly increased your salad consumption by 200% in the last few years. Either way, you’ll definitely want to buy her new cookbook, Come Eat, featuring more than 100 fresh, filling, family-friendly recipes designed to make “what’s for dinner?” the easiest question of your day (please). Case in point: This steakhouse-inspired salad we’re already planning to make.

  4. 4.

If you also thought the Golden Globes would’ve been better without the actual awards, good news: Nikki Glaser’s latest stand-up special, Good Girl, just dropped on Hulu. Filmed in her hometown of St. Louis, the Roaster in Chief covers her rising celeb status, the one thing you never want your therapist to say (no, not “I’m retiring”), the real reason to get a facelift (hint: it involves Bowen Yang), and all the raunchy material even most comedians wouldn’t touch with a 10-foot pole. What a good girl.

  5. 5.

Getting a pedicure? These are summer’s most flattering nail polish shades — and some may surprise you, in a good way (see number four). No reason to wait.

Happy (almost) weekend. Lately, I’ve been in a bit of a reset — embracing slower mornings, creating better routines, that whole thing. This weekend, I also plan to be more intentional with my time. Here’s how:

  • I’m headed to the English countryside in June, so I’m on the hunt for a perfectly weather-beaten Barbour jacket — ideal for all the long pub walks in my future. I had my eye on one from eBay, but this one might be even better.

  • The first thing I'll do after logging off from work? Watch the latest episode of Margo’s Got Money Troubles. I can’t get enough of Michelle Pfeiffer and Elle Fanning’s mother-daughter relationship — which may not be real, but is certainly very relatable.

  • I know, I know: I’m very late to the tinned fish trend. But this viral appetizer from the self-described sardine recipe lady finally changed my stance. (Fine, the skin glow-up doesn’t hurt either.)

  • I just finished reading David Szalay’s Flesh, and I feel like I have whiplash from all the plot twists. As a palate cleanser, I’ll dive into Emily Everett’s All That Life Can Afford. An American girl posing as part of London’s upper crust? Say less.

  • Last but not least, I’ll finally master my at-home matcha latte. I’m convinced this retro-looking tool is the missing link.
