County Nears Completion of Major Streetlight LED Conversion

• Fairfax County’s streetlight LED conversion is nearly complete, with about 93% of Dominion Energy lights upgraded.
• The project has cut streetlight energy use by an estimated 56% and advances the county’s Operational Energy Strategy.
• County government electricity use dropped from over 260 million kWh in FY 2018 to 217 million kWh in FY 2025.

⭐Fairfax Forward: Drug Take Back Day Results

Fairfax Forward: Highlighting Achievements, Success and Innovation

This past Saturday, our district stations partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and other Fairfax County agencies for the 30th Annual National Drug Take Back Day. Together, we collected 933 pounds of expired or unused medications from community members across Fairfax County. If you missed the event, you can still safely dispose of medications year-round at our secure drug take-back boxes located inside each of our district police stations.
