Sam's Club
Yeah, the garden is really coming along this season. I finally got those tomato plants in the ground last weekend, and they are already showing new growth. The secret seems to be consistent watering and a bit of compost worked into the soil. I tried that trick you mentioned about crushing eggshells around the base, and it has helped with the slugs. The basil is thriving too, which is great because I use it in almost everything. I am thinking of adding a few more herbs next week maybe some rosemary and thyme. The raised beds I built last fall are working perfectly, and the drainage is so much better than before. I should send you a photo once everything really takes off. It has been a good year for growing, and I am glad I finally got serious about it. Let me know if you want some tomatoes when they start coming in, I will have more than I can use.

I finally watched that documentary you recommended, and it was really well done. The cinematography was stunning, and I learned a lot about the subject that I had not known before. I ended up watching it twice because there was so much detail to absorb. The interviews were thoughtful and the pacing was perfect for a Sunday afternoon viewing. The director really captured the human side of the story, which made it more engaging than I expected. You were right, I should have watched it sooner. I am planning to check out some of the other films by the same person now. If you have any other recommendations like that, send them my way. I also started that series you mentioned, and I am enjoying it so far. The first episode was a bit slow, but it picks up nicely. Thanks for the suggestion.
