I really enjoyed the hiking trail we took last weekend even though it was more challenging than I expected. The elevation gain was steady for the first two miles and then leveled out with nice views of the valley. I would suggest bringing extra water next time since there are no streams along the route. The wildflowers were still blooming near the summit which was a pleasant surprise. We should plan another trip soon before the weather changes. Arriving early is recommended because the parking lot fills up quickly.
