I was thinking about what you mentioned regarding the book club selection for next month. I finally finished reading that novel you recommended and honestly I was surprised by how much the second half changed my overall view of the story. I know you said you loved it from start to finish but for me it took a little longer to get into the rhythm of the writing style. That said the character development in the later chapters was really well done and I can see why it resonated with you. I will bring my copy to the next meeting so we can compare notes on the ending.
