Hey, I finally checked out that trail you mentioned last weekend. The weather was perfect, not too hot, and the path was mostly shaded. We only went about three miles but the views at the lookout point were incredible. I took a few photos but they don't really capture how wide the valley looked from up there. I think we should plan a longer hike next time, maybe start earlier and bring a proper lunch. Also, thanks for the recommendation on those hiking shoes – they made a big difference on the rocky sections. Let me know when you're free again, maybe we can try the loop you talked about. I finally got around to pruning the roses in the backyard. They had gotten really overgrown after all that rain we had. Took me a couple of hours but they look much better now. I also noticed some new buds forming, so hopefully we'll get a nice bloom next month. I've been trying to water them more consistently, but the hose attachment keeps leaking. Might need to pick up a new one this weekend. Oh, and I saw that you finished reading that book I lent you – what did you think of the ending? I was a bit surprised by the twist.
