Approved for Care in the Community? You may be able to self-schedule your appointment for specific services with an in-network provider.
To get started:
- Once you receive an active referral from your provider, elect to self-schedule Community Care
- Read the authorization notification letter sent by email, My HealtheVet, or mail
- Use the Find VA Locations site to find an in-network provide and schedules
- Call Care in the Community to complete the process within 7 days of receiving authorization notification.

The following are not eligible for Veteran Self-Scheduling:
- Oncology/Hematology
- Radiation Therapy
- Dialysis/Nephrology oversite for Dialysis
- Dental
