Good afternoon,

Property funds powerhouse Charter Hall has signalled its confidence in the premium end of the office market by taking full control of the $1bn O’Connell precinct in Sydney’s CBD.

Property funds manager Centuria has launched a new city office trust in a counter-cyclical play, and it will hold a 50 per cent stake in two Sydney World Square office buildings it is buying for about $450m.

Queensland businessman Don O’Rorke’s Consolidated Properties Group and funds house CVS Lane Capital Partners have put a six-strong mall portfolio on the market to capitalise on the sector’s resurgence.

Cairns apartments priced 40 per cent below Brisbane’s median have recorded zero rental vacancy, as regional markets challenge capital city investment wisdom.
