Harbor Freight
I think the best approach for Saturday would be to start around 10 in the morning. That way we have enough time to set up everything before folks start arriving. We can use the backyard if the weather cooperates, and if not we will move everything into the living room and dining area. I have already checked with a few people and they said they can bring chairs and tables. We should probably have a backup plan for food in case someone dish does not turn out as expected. I will make my usual pasta salad and maybe a dessert too. Let me know if you think we need more drinks or if we should ask everyone to bring something specific. I can also pick up some extra supplies on Friday after work. The forecast looks good so far but I will keep an eye on it and let you know if we need to change anything. I think having a few board games on hand would be nice too in case people want to hang out longer. Let me know your thoughts on the playlist and if you want me to handle that as well. I can put together a mix that works for different tastes. We should also think about seating arrangements so everyone feels comfortable.
I have a few extra folding chairs I can bring and some string lights for the yard if we end up outside. Let me know if you want me to coordinate with anyone else about what they are bringing.

Regarding the timeline for the community garden project I think we can realistically have the raised beds built within two weekends. The materials have already been ordered and should arrive by Thursday. We will need at least four volunteers each day to handle the assembly and soil filling. I have reached out to the local nursery about donating some starter plants and they said they could contribute tomatoes peppers and herbs. We should also think about a watering schedule once everything is planted. I can take the morning shifts during the week and we can rotate weekends. Let me know if you have any other contacts who might want to help out or donate supplies. I am also planning to create a simple map of what gets planted where so we can track everything properly. We should probably have a kickoff meeting a few days before to make sure everyone knows their assignments and what to bring.
I was thinking we could also add a small seating area with a bench or two so people can sit and enjoy the space. Let me know if you have any thoughts on that or if you want me to look into getting some affordable options. I will also check on what tools we still need and see if anyone can loan them to us for the build days.
