Yeah I finally got around to reading that book you lent me last month. The pacing was a bit slow in the middle but the ending really surprised me. I didn't expect that plot twist at all. I think you'd enjoy the sequel too from what I've heard. The author has a way of describing scenes that makes you feel like you're right there. I might pick up the next one next week. Have you read anything else by the same writer? I'd love to get more recommendations. The weather has been pretty nice lately so I've been spending more time reading on the porch. So we finally painted the living room last weekend and it turned out way better than I expected. We went with a warm gray instead of the beige that was there before. It makes the space feel much bigger and brighter. The whole process took longer than we thought though. Prepping the walls and taping everything off took almost a full day. The actual painting went pretty smooth after that. We used a roller for the large areas and brushes for the corners and trim. I'm glad we decided to do it ourselves instead of hiring someone. It saved a lot of money and we got exactly what we wanted. Next weekend we're thinking about tackling the kitchen. That might be a bigger project but I think we're ready for it. We've been watching a lot of DIY videos lately so we've picked up some useful tips. I'll send you some photos once we finish the kitchen.
