CVS ExtraCare Reminder
I finally got around to planting those seeds you gave me. Most of them have sprouted already which was faster than I expected. The tomatoes are doing really well but the peppers seem a bit slow. I think I might have overwatered them initially. I moved them to a sunnier spot yesterday so hopefully that helps. The basil has been the easiest actually it's growing like crazy. I've already had to trim it back twice. I'm trying to figure out the best way to stake the tomatoes before they get too heavy. I saw these spiral stakes at the store that looked pretty good. Let me know if you have any tips for dealing with aphids because I noticed a few on the pepper plants. I've been spending more time in the garden lately and it's been really relaxing after work.

Oh I finally listened to that podcast you recommended. The episode about ocean exploration was absolutely fascinating. They interviewed a marine biologist who spends months at sea studying deep sea ecosystems. The way she described bioluminescent creatures made me want to see them in person. I had no idea that most of the ocean floor is still unmapped. The sound design was incredible too with ambient recordings from underwater research stations. I'm planning to start the next episode on my drive home today. Let me know if you've come across any other good ones lately. I've been looking for something lighter to listen to while cooking dinner. Maybe a comedy or interview series would be a nice change of pace. Also I started reading that book you mentioned last week and I'm already halfway through. The pacing is really engaging and the characters feel well developed.
