Hey — thanks for the note about the weekend. I finally got around to trying that sourdough recipe you sent me a few weeks ago. It actually turned out way better than I expected. The crust was golden and the inside was soft with good air pockets. I think letting it rest overnight in the fridge made a big difference. My kids kept sneaking pieces before dinner. I also swapped out half the white flour for whole wheat and it still worked fine. The weather here has been rainy so it was a good weekend to stay in and bake. Let me know if you've tried any other variations. I'm thinking of adding some rosemary and sea salt next time. Anyway, talk soon.

I was telling my sister about that documentary you recommended — the one about the deep sea explorers. She watched it last night and said the footage was incredible. I haven't seen it yet but it's on my list. Also I finally swapped out the old faucet in the kitchen. Took longer than I thought but no leaks so far. I used one of those flexible hose wrenches and it made the whole thing way easier. I still need to grab a new drain cover though. Let me know if you have any book suggestions for the flight next month. I finished that mystery novel you gave me and really liked it.
