Well, now that the birthday craze is calming down...

But anyway
Before the birthday celebration got wild, I actually planned on telling you this story instead:

It’s about this guy David, a Fearless Money Makers member.
David has a pretty successful professional career in the “real world“, but he’s done nothing online.
I mean, he did publish one book, but quickly discovered books are NOT the path to fame and fortune that naive folks tend to think. Some benefits, but it certainly didn’t lead to a huge audience or bank account.
Which means this:
David had a BIG problem that almost everyone goes through.
Even though his professional career gave him a lot of the skills he needed to run a digital business…
The question was…
Where the heck was he going to get his first customers?
And look.
All the gurus conveniently ignore this question.
They’ve been rolling around in their millions of followers for so long, they’ve forgotten what it’s like to start out fresh.
And:
(I’ll say this because I’m still feeling saucy in my birthday king energy).
The gurus don’t have the scrap it takes to succeed from nothing anymore.
So they’ll say sweet things like:
“Be generous!”
“Engage with your community!”
“Serve as much as you can!”
“Post a bunch of times per day”
“Don’t even THINK about selling until you have 10,000 followers.”
None of that is BAD advice, really.
Heck, even I’m guilty of saying the last one too often.
That was in my naive days… before I saw Dan running $100K/month digital businesses with only 5,000 followers on Instagram…or saw Josh earn $50K per month with only 200 followers on X… or saw Audrey gobble up $20K in a matter of 3 days with her “invisible offer” that nobody knew about.
And — to the point of this email — I’ve seen David land his first client with basically no online following to speak of.
How did he do it?
It’s mostly thanks to ONE well-placed message, sent to 10 people.
He’s likely to pick up 2 or 3 more clients just from that group. It’s still early days.
And David isn’t special, by the way. I’ve seen this message work for people in every industry, across the board. It’s not even close to a “salesy” message. In fact, it’s the opposite.
That’s why it works so darn well.
