New general trade licences issued

On 19 May 2026, two general trade licences were issued under the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.

General trade licence: sanctioned processed oil products (licence number: GBSAN0004)
General trade licence: maritime transportation of liquefied natural gas

Both licences take effect on 20 May 2026. The Department for Business and Trade has also published guidance on the import of sanctioned processed oil products.

Any persons intending to use either general licence should consult the licences for full details of the authorisations and conditions.
