We finally set up the hammock in the backyard this past weekend. It took a few tries to get the straps right around the oak tree, but once it was secure it was incredibly relaxing. I ended up falling asleep for almost an hour with a book on my chest. The weather was perfect, not too humid, just a light breeze. I think we're going to keep it up for the rest of the season. You'll have to come over and try it out sometime during the evening when the sunlight filters through the leaves.

I finished reading that sci-fi series you mentioned, the one about the generation ship that loses contact with earth. The character development in the third book really surprised me, especially the subplot involving the hydroponics engineer. Normally those kinds of technical details bog down the story for me, but the author wove it into the larger mystery really well. I stayed up way too late finishing it. Do you have any other recommendations in that genre? I'm thinking about starting a new book j5gZXa6TV5LfMf next week.
