Hey, it was so funny getting your message earlier. I was just telling someone about that time we tried to take the shortcut through the park and ended up completely turned around for an hour. We finally asked a jogger for directions and she just pointed to the big clock tower we had been walking in circles around.
I still laugh thinking about how we refused to use the map on our phones just to prove we could figure it out ourselves. It turned into a great adventure though, we saw that little bridge over the creek and the community garden that we never would have found otherwise.
Anyway, let me know if you're free this weekend. We should definitely plan something low-key, maybe just coffee and a catch-up session. Hope everything is going well on your end. You asked how the painting class went last night. It was genuinely so much fun, way more than I expected. I went in thinking I would be absolutely terrible, and don't get me wrong, my landscape looks more like a blurry blob, but the instructor was really encouraging.
She kept telling us not to focus on the details but just to capture the general feeling of the scene. I ended up mixing this really cool shade of teal that I was pretty proud of. The whole vibe was very chill, just some calming music and twenty people silently concentrating on their canvases.
I think I finally found a hobby that doesn't involve staring at a screen. I signed up for the next session already. You should totally come with me next time, I think you would really enjoy it. It’s very therapeutic, just messy enough to be fun but not stressful. The class provides all the materials too so you don't have to buy anything upfront which is kind of nice. We can grab dinner after the next session if you are interested.
