Hey, thanks for the note about the guitar strings you recommended. I finally got around to trying them out over the weekend. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first because I've been using the same brand for years, but the tone is noticeably warmer. My fingers are still sore from practicing barre chords, but it's totally worth it. I'm slowly working through that John Mayer song you sent me. The fingerpicking pattern is tricky, but I'm getting the hang of it. Let me know if you want to jam sometime next week. I'll bring the new amp I picked up. gwmQPh3cLXcIIQ It has a really nice clean channel that takes pedals well. Anyway, talk soon.

We finally took that hiking trip up to Mount Rainier last weekend. The weather was perfect, not a cloud in the sky. We did the Skyline Trail and saw a family of marmots sunbathing on the rocks. The wildflowers are starting to bloom, so the whole meadow looked like a painting. We packed a lunch and ate it by the waterfall. It was so peaceful. I'm already planning the next one. Maybe we can go up to the North Cascades in a few weeks. Let me know if you and your family want to come along. We'll make a day of it. There's a great trail called Maple Pass that I've been wanting to try for a while now.
