Taipei, Taiwan, May 27, 2026 –QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading innovator in computing, networking, and storage solutions, today announced the release of the new generation L2 Web Managed Switch series, the QSW-M2130 Series. Available in two models—the standard [2] QSW-M2130-4C2S24Tand the PoE++ enabled [3] QSW-M2130P-2C2S26T—this series offers an ideal solution for businesses looking to build a flexible, high-efficiency network infrastructure.
In SMBs and multi-story office environments, expanding network architectures often leads to management complexity. The QSW-M2130 series is designed to serve as both an "Access" and "Aggregation (Distribution)" switch within a single device. By utilizing twenty-four 2.5GbE ports to stably connect multiple workstations, NAS, and end devices, and leveraging 10GbE ports to aggregate traffic to the core network, it enables a highly scalable yet manageable network topology with a simplified deployment.
To meet the demands of modern wireless infrastructure, the PoE-enabled model, QSW-M2130P-2C2S26T, supports the IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ high-power Ethernet standard. Delivering a total power budget of up to 375W (with ports supporting up to 90W and 45W), it provides stable power and multi-gigabit connectivity to high-power Powered Devices (PDs) such as Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 APs, 4K IP cameras, IP phones, and digital signage, effectively eliminating bandwidth bottlenecks.
"Today's biggest network challenge is a 'cluttered architecture' that expands out of control. The QSW-M2130 series delivers a network that scales without losing control,” said Ronald Hsu , Product Manager of QNAP, adding: “Whether providing high-speed connectivity for workstations and NAS, or meeting the power demands of next-gen Wi-Fi and high-res cameras with our PoE model, it eliminates complex setups, allowing businesses to maintain a streamlined topology and predictable performance."
Both models share several key features designed to optimize enterprise networks:2-in-1 access and aggregation:Functions simultaneously as an endpoint access switch and a floor aggregation switch, seamlessly aggregating traffic from numerous 2.5GbE edge devices and uplinking to the core network via 10GbE.Flexible 10GbE combo ports:Features dual-use 10GbE Combo ports supporting both RJ45 copper and SFP+ fiber interfaces, allowing IT administrators to flexibly switch connection methods based on existing wiring.Comprehensive L2 management:Supports essential Layer 2 management features including LACP, QoS, VLAN, and IGMP Snooping, enabling efficient bandwidth allocation and optimized overall performance.Robust security & system protection:Equipped with Access Control Lists (ACL), DoS Attack Prevention, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP), and Flow Control to protect against malicious traffic, prevent network loops, and avoid packet loss.Intuitive QSS management interface:Powered by the QNAP Switch System (QSS), which features a user-friendly graphical web interface for easy port management and one-click online firmware updates.Premium quality (Made in Taiwan):Designed and manufactured in Taiwan, ensuring superior build quality, stability, and reliability for enterprise IT infrastructure.
Key specifications for each model include:QSW-M2130-4C2S24T:24 x 2.5GbE RJ45 ports, 2 x 10GbE SFP+ fiber ports, and 4 x 10GbE Combo (RJ45/SFP+) ports.QSW-M2130P-2C2S26T:24 x 2.5GbE RJ45 ports, 2 x 10GbE SFP+ ports, 2 x 10GbE RJ45 ports, and 2 x 10GbE Combo ports. Supports IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ compliant up to 375W total power budget.
