No D or F schools in Pasco for the first time since 2004

School grades are not due out for weeks.

But Pasco County schools are already cheering the results, which are anticipated to be their best in two decades.

What changed?

AROUND THE BAY

“One chapter in a larger investigation”: A Tampa-based finance guru who touted a $250 million portfolio and offered lessons in financial literacy faces a federal mail fraud charge related to the purchase of a $1.6 million Brandon home.

Only North American show: There’s no denying Ye’s musical legacy. But between the rapper’s many controversies (including Nazi merch) and eye-popping ticket prices, would you go see Kanye West in Tampa?

Teen takeover: A 17-year-old was shot and several people were detained after a mass gathering of teens on Clearwater Beach Sunday night prompted a multi-agency response.

Leaving the scene: A St. Petersburg garbage truck driver hit and killed a woman sleeping in an alley, police say.

Over the weekend: A Hillsborough sheriff’s deputy was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence in Tampa. On Sunday, an off-duty Tampa police officer was charged with dangerous excessive speeding after he was seen driving more than 100 mph on Interstate 75.
