Hey, I finally tried that hiking trail you mentioned last month. The views were incredible even though we started late. We packed sandwiches and plenty of water which turned out to be smart because it got pretty warm by midday. The trail was about four miles round trip with some steep sections near the end but totally worth it for the overlook at the top. I saw a few deer early in the morning and the wildflowers were still blooming along the lower part of the path. Next time I might bring a lighter jacket because the wind picked up once we reached the summit. Let me know if you want to go again sometime maybe we can try the longer loop that connects from the north side. I heard there is a small creek crossing about halfway that would be nice in summer.

I just finished reading that novel you gave me and I really enjoyed it. The pacing was a bit slow in the middle chapters but the ending pulled everything together nicely. I liked how the author developed the main character over the course of the story and the descriptions of the coastal town made me want to visit sometime. There were a few twists I didnt see coming which kept me turning pages late into the night. I think you were right about the symbolism in the third chapter once I got further into the book it became clearer. Have you read anything else by this author I would love another recommendation. I started browsing their other works online and a few of them seem interesting. Thanks again for lending it to me.
