we had such a lovely time at the farmers market yesterday — picked up some amazing peaches and a bunch of fresh basil that smelled incredible
my niece is really getting into baking so I promised to send her my grandmother’s pie crust recipe
it’s surprisingly simple but the trick is to keep everything ice cold
we tried a new hiking trail last weekend and it was beautiful but a bit rocky in spots
definitely worth the drive though especially with the fall colours starting to show
I finally finished that book you recommended and I totally get why you loved it now
the ending caught me off guard honestly
looking forward to the next one in the series whenever it comes out
also your tip about using parchment paper for roasting vegetables changed everything in my kitchen
so much easier to clean up afterward

I finally got around to organizing my bookshelf by colour instead of author and honestly it looks amazing but now I can never find anything
my friend laughed at me for doing it but I don’t care it’s so satisfying to look at
we’ve been trying to meal prep on Sundays and it’s actually been going well this time around
last week we made a big batch of lentil soup and some roasted vegetables for salads through the week
the key is not to overcomplicate things right
I also started learning how to play chess online and I’m still terrible but slowly getting better
there are so many tutorials on YouTube it’s almost overwhelming
our neighbour’s cat keeps visiting our porch every afternoon and my daughter is obsessed with naming it
current contender is Mr Whiskers the Third
I told her we should probably check if it has a collar first but she’s already made a little bed for it out of an old sweater
anyway just wanted to share those little updates before I forget
