Hey! That hike you recommended was fantastic. We took the trail around the lake and the views were incredible. The weather held up perfectly until we were almost back, and then a light drizzle started but it actually made the whole forest smell amazing. We brought sandwiches and ate them by that big rock, completely worth the extra weight in the pack. Let me know if you want to do that again next weekend — I’m free Saturday.
Also, I tried making that stir-fry you mentioned, but I swapped the chicken for tofu and added a bit more ginger. Turned out great! I think the secret is really getting the wok hot enough. Thanks for the tip about the rice vinegar — it adds a nice tang. Let me know if you’ve found any other good recipes lately.

Hey, I was thinking about that conversation we had on planting a small herb garden. I finally got some basil and mint started in pots by the kitchen window. They're doing pretty well so far — just need to remember to water them every other day. The mint is especially vigorous, I think it's going to take over soon. Do you have any tips for keeping it contained? Also, I was wondering if cilantro would do okay with the same amount of light. Let me know your thoughts when you get a chance.
On another note, I tried a new podcast series last night about historical maps and navigation. It’s fascinating how early sailors used the stars and currents to cross oceans. The episodes are short too, about 25 minutes each. I can send you the link if you're interested. Hope your week is going smoothly so far.
