Medications
The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school. At Silverbrook ES, medication must be picked up by 1:35 pm on Wednesday, June 17. Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student. If your student will be enrolled in a summer program sponsored by Fairfax County Public Schools, the existing medication authorization form(s) may be used for the summer program, but you will need to pick up the medication by the last day of school and deliver the medication and completed forms to the summer learning site on the first day of the summer program. Please let the health room know if you would like a copy of the form(s). Questions? Contact Amy Friedman, School Health Aide, at 703-690-5110 or afriedman@fcps.edu.

 Field Day is coming!
What is field day? It is a time where classes will be spread throughout the school property during their designated time and day during school hours. Students will be participating in games/activities they have done throughout this school year in their PE class. We encourage students to demonstrate good sportsmanship, cooperation and to have fun!
On this day students should wear appropriate clothes and shoes for movement and to bring their hat/sunglasses and their water bottle. We want students to stay hydrated during their field day.
Field Day for grades 4-5-6 will be Tuesday, June 9 at 9:20-11:40am.
Field Day for grades 2-3 will be Tuesday, June 9 at 1:10-2:40pm.
Field Day for grades K-1 will be Wednesday, June 10 at 1:20-2:50pm.
If there is inclement weather, Field Day will still occur on the same day, but the times will be adjusted, and it will be held indoors.
