I finally decided to repaint the living room this weekend. I picked out this color called 'Warm Gray' but when I put it on the wall it looked completely purple. I must have stared at it for an hour questioning all my life choices. My partner said it looked like a giant bruise. So now I have to go back to the store and pick out a different shade. The guy at the paint counter said I should try 'Agreeable Gray' which apparently is everyone's favorite. I just want it to look normal. Have you ever had a paint disaster like this? Let me know if you have a go-to color that actually looks like what it says on the swatch. The whole living room is in chaos right now with furniture piled in the middle of the room.

We went for a hike up to the old fire lookout tower on Saturday. The trail was about 5 miles round trip with a decent amount of elevation gain. I forgot how out of shape I am. The view from the top was totally worth the sore legs though. You could see the whole valley and the lake was this incredible shade of blue. We brought sandwiches and ate them sitting on the rocks watching the hawks circle. There was a moment of total silence and it felt really peaceful. I want to try to go every weekend now but we'll see if that actually happens. I looked up other trails in the area and there's one that goes to a waterfall.
