Championship season

The state championships kept coming home to the suburbs on another busy Saturday as the end of the spring sports season nears. Congratulations again to the champs and all those who won a trophy.

And remember, when the games end, that’s when we publish our Daily Herald All-Area teams and Herald Cup winners. Look for those in the coming weeks.

But back to Saturday’s action. Let’s start with state softball.
