I ended up swapping out the rear cassette on my bike yesterday. It was easier than I thought once I got the chain whip tool. The new gearing makes climbing hills much smoother. If you decide to do it yourself, just be careful with the lockring—it’s reverse‑threaded. Also, make sure you clean the freehub body before installing the new cassette.
