Centreville Students, Families, and Community,
The end of the school year is officially in sight! It is hard to believe how quickly this year has passed. While our seniors completed their final days of classes last week and will celebrate graduation this Thursday, the remainder of our students have an important and busy week ahead as we close out another successful school year.
Monday through Wednesday will be full school days, with underclassmen final exams beginning Wednesday morning with first period. Thursday will be a student holiday as Centreville High School celebrates one of our most important traditions: the commencement ceremony for the Class of 2026. Graduation is a milestone that reflects years of hard work, perseverance, and growth, and we look forward to celebrating our seniors and their families as they take the next step in their journey.
On Friday, we will begin our half-day final exam schedule. Students will be dismissed at 11:30AM each day, and grab-and-go lunches will be available as students exit the building. The detailed final exam schedule, including which exams are administered on each day, is outlined below. Underclassmen final exams will continue through Tuesday, June 16.
As we prepare for the final day of the school year on June 17, we will take time to celebrate the relationships and memories that make Centreville High School such a special place. Rather than following a traditional class rotation, students who attend that day will remain in the cafeteria from 8:10–10:20AM to sign yearbooks, spend time with friends, and connect with classmates and staff before heading off for summer break. It is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the year we have shared and celebrate all that we have accomplished together.
As we enter these final days, I encourage all students to stay focused, finish strong on their exams, and take pride in the hard work they have invested throughout the year. The finish line is near, and I am confident that our Wildcats will continue to demonstrate the determination, excellence, and character that define our community.
Go Wildcats!
Dr. Erik Healey, Principal

Celebrating Achievement and Inclusion: WildCat B Awards Ceremony: On Friday afternoon, our WildCat B department celebrated an outstanding year of growth and achievement with a special awards ceremony honoring students in our adapted curriculum courses. The event highlighted the accomplishments of our students and the strong sense of community that has been built among students, staff, and families. We are also proud of the continued growth of inclusive opportunities through our Partnership course and Unified Sports teams, which help ensure all Wildcats feel connected and valued. Congratulations to our WildCat B students on a fantastic year of success!
Honoring Growth and Success: Multilingual Learner Celebration: Friday afternoon, Centreville High School recognized the achievements of our multilingual learners during a special celebration of academic growth. More than 160 students met the state's required growth targets on the WIDA ACCESS assessment, while 36 students earned scores high enough to exit multilingual learner services. These accomplishments reflect the hard work and determination of our students and the dedication of the staff who support them every day. Congratulations to these Wildcats on reaching such an important milestone!
Student Voice in Action - Principal’s Advisory Council Launches at CVHS: Last week marked an exciting milestone at Centreville High School as we convened the inaugural meeting of our Principal’s Advisory Council (PAC)! The PAC is a representative group of students in grades 9–12 who serve as a direct communication link between the student body and the principal, helping to ensure that student voices are heard and valued.
Students were nominated by staff members for their leadership qualities and their ability to represent the diverse perspectives of the Centreville community. During our first meeting, members ratified the council’s bylaws and began brainstorming goals focused on enhancing the academic experience, school operations, and school culture at CVHS. We are excited to see the positive impact these student leaders will have on our school and congratulate them on this well-deserved opportunity to serve their fellow Wildcats!

Wildcats Claim Northern Region Championship!: The Centreville High School Baseball team continues its remarkable postseason run! Last week, the Wildcats captured the Northern Region Championship with an exciting 5–3 comeback victory over Herndon High School. The journey continues this week as the Wildcats host Battlefield High School in the VHSL State Quarterfinals on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. We encourage our entire community to come out, show their Wildcat spirit, and cheer on this historic team as they continue their pursuit of a state championship.
