We are happy to share that we successfully wrapped up testing and began celebrating the Class of 2026, including Senior breakfast, awards, graduation rehearsals, and clap-outs.
We are excited to culminate our celebration with our graduation ceremony tomorrow - Monday, June 8th, at 10:00 am, DAR, Constitution Hall.

Attendance Reporting
How to Report an Absence Through ParentVUE
We highly encourage all our families to use ParentVUE for full-day absences. Reports submitted through Parent VUE are securely sent to the attendance office and do not require a follow-up email or call.
Partial-Day Absences (Late Arrival or Early Dismissal): For late arrivals, early dismissals, or to update a previously submitted attendance report, please email the Attendance Office LangleyHSAttendance@fcps.edu
Checking Out a Student Without a Note or a Sent Email to the Attendance Office: If your student does not have a written note, or the parent has not sent an email to the Attendance Office
- A parent or guardian must come into the building and sign them out at the Attendance Office.

Provide a photo ID for verification.
- Please allow up to 30 minutes for the checkout process if it is not prearranged.
Class of 2027 Photo Dates NOW Available!
All information needed is on your Legacy school's page. Simply enter your school name in the search bar at the top of the website. You will find a calendar where you will be able to choose your sitting type and appointment time.
Please note that we are not able to schedule appointments once the photo shoot has begun. If your senior has not been photographed, don't miss this opportunity.

End of the School Year Medication Pick-up
As the end of our school year approaches, I would like to remind you that all medications kept in the Health Room must be picked up by the end of the school year. Per FCPS regulations, any medications that remain in the Health Room after close of business on the last day of school must be destroyed.
Prescription Medications (Epi-pens, Inhalers, ADHD, etc.): Must be picked up by a parent. Please sign in at the main office.
PLEASE NOTE: if a student self-carries their epi-pen or inhaler and keeps one in the health room, the student may pick it up.
Over-the-counter Medication: Students may pick up these medications and take them home. They may be picked up at the end of the day between 2:45-3:00pm any time before the end of the year.
All medications must be picked up by 10 am, June 17 th.

New Course Opportunity- Adv Swim & Lifeguard Cert :
A new course has been made available for all FCPS students at Skyview High School. Please find the description below. If students are interested, please have them notify their school counselor by Friday, June 12th if interested. Students should let counselors know if (1) they will need FCPS-provided transportation and (2) what elective (and potentially two) they would like to drop if this class can work in the schedule.
Adv Swim & Lifeguard Cert (751060)
Grades10, 11, 12 (Current 9, 10, and 11th grade)
Adv Swim & Lifeguard Cert will apply scientific principles to improve performance and personal fitness level through swimming. Students will improve swimming efficiency and endurance with a focus on skills required for lifeguard certification. The course will include the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification program. Students will have the option to take the exam to earn lifeguard certification. CPR, AED, and first aid instruction will be included. Students may not take this course in lieu of health and physical education grade 9 or grade 10 course requirements. This course is available to all FCPS students through Skyview High School.
