Lately, I’ve been “testing” (buying) a bunch of tank tops in the name of “work.” And by “work,” I mean that I live in the southeast and it’s already super hot here. I needed more tops to get me through the next three months. Of all the options I’ve tested, here are the ones I’m considering winners that are all under $40:

• The tank-top version of my go-to Old Navy tee.

• A classic cotton tank with wide straps.

• A high-neck tank top that I like to wear on nights out. There’s something about the cut that feels dressier to me.

• A bra-free scoopneck that comes in tons of fun colors.
