Hey, I saw your message about the weekend plans and wanted to get back to you sooner. I think Saturday afternoon works best for me since I have that thing Friday night I told you about. The new place downtown sounds interesting, I haven't tried their food yet but I heard the patio is really nice when the weather cooperates. Let me know what time you were thinking and if you want me to bring anything. I could grab some drinks or maybe a dessert if everyone else is handling the main dishes. Also, did you end up hearing back from Chris about joining us? I know they were on the fence last time we talked. Either way it should be fun to catch up properly, it's been a couple weeks since we all hung out together. I can swing by your place first if you want to carpool, just text me the address details when you get a chance and I'll put it in my phone. Anyway, hope you're having a good week so far. Talk soon.

Hey, I finally tried that pasta recipe you sent me last month and it turned out way better than I expected. I was a little nervous about the sauce since I usually mess that part up, but it came together really nicely. I ended up adding a bit more garlic than it called for because you know I can't help myself. My roommate even asked for the recipe afterward which is basically the highest compliment I can think of. I also wanted to ask if you still have that book I lent you a while ago. No rush or anything, just thinking about doing some reading on my commute and wanted to grab it back when you're done. It's the one with the blue cover about the hiking trips in the Pacific Northwest. I know you were really into it when I handed it over so no worries if you haven't finished yet. Anyway, let me know if you want to grab coffee this weekend and I can tell you more about the pasta adventure.
I ended up going to that farmers market you mentioned and it was such a good call. I got there pretty early around 8:30 and it wasn't too crowded yet which made browsing way easier. The honey stand had this really interesting variety with cinnamon and I picked up a jar to try. I also found a stall selling handmade candles that smelled like cedar and vanilla, I couldn't resist grabbing one for my desk. The whole vibe was really relaxed and there was a guy playing acoustic guitar near the entrance which added a nice touch. I took a bunch of photos of the flower displays, I'll send them to you later. I'm thinking of going back next weekend to check out the baked goods section since I kind of rushed past it. Let me know if you'd want to come along, it would be fun to wander around together and grab lunch after. There was also a little stall with potted succulents that I know you'd like, their prices seemed pretty fair too.
