Yeah, I finally got around to checking out that trail you mentioned over by Pine Ridge. It was pretty crowded on Saturday morning, but honestly the weather was perfect so I can't blame everyone. We parked about a mile down the road and walked in. The elevation gain was steady but nothing too crazy. Took us about two and a half hours to reach the lookout point. The view overlooking the valley was absolutely worth it. There was a cool breeze at the top which felt great after the climb. I packed a couple of sandwiches and some fruit and we just sat there for a while taking it all in. Definitely planning to go back maybe during the week when it's quieter. You should come along next time. Let me know what you think.

Oh, I finished that book series we talked about. Honestly, the first book was much stronger than the rest but overall it was still a fun ride. The character development really pulled me in initially. The world-building was incredibly detailed which I appreciated. Some of the middle chapters dragged a little bit with descriptions of the landscape. The magic system was quite unique compared to other fantasy novels I've read recently. I can see why they are adapting it for television. The dialogue felt natural and there were a few plot twists I genuinely did not see coming. I'm looking forward to discussing it with you over coffee next week. Let me know if you want to borrow my copy.
