Hey, just saw this documentary on deep sea coral reefs. It was filmed off the coast of Indonesia and completely oblivious to the average viewer. The bioluminescent sequences were mind-blowing. I had no idea that some corals actually glow to attract plankton. The cinematography was stunning too, very immersive. It made me think about how much of the planet we still haven't properly explored. Anyway, thought I'd share in case you're looking for something interesting to watch this weekend. Let me know if you end up checking it out. We could maybe do a double feature sometime if you find another good one. Talk later. Also, the soundtrack was by this lesser-known composer who used a lot of ambient electronic sounds. It perfectly matched the visuals. Highly recommend it.

So I finally put together that bookshelf from the thrift store. It took way longer than expected because the instructions were just pictograms. Lots of laughing and rearranging parts. Anyway, thought I'd share. It looks surprisingly good in the corner of the room, although I might have to anchor it to the wall because it wobbles just a tiny bit. I'm thinking of painting it a darker color to match the desk. What do you think would look better, a dark walnut or a matte black? Let me know when you get a chance. Hope your week is going well so far. We should catch up properly soon. Maybe we can plan that hiking trip we talked about last month. The trails should be clearing up nicely around this time.
