How fatherhood has changed. “Mark’s and Harry’s intimate presence in their children’s lives affirms our culture’s fitful movement away from archaic, cinching gender roles. And it challenges any idea that women’s career gains are men’s losses.”

Re: This Could Be the Winning Issue for Democrats

Texas

I am seeing this first hand in very red, rural Texas. People who historically vote for anyone with an R by their name are suddenly attending city and county commission meetings, recruiting nominees for regional water boards, and listening to presentations by legislative, state-wide, and congressional candidates who oppose the purposely unregulated industry that is running wild throughout the state. They feel shocked and angry that people they elected and trusted to look after their best interests are giving tax abatements, building municipal infrastructure, and overlooking horror stories and long term environmental consequences of existing data centers so they can get a few years of “economic growth.” Any democratic candidate would be derelict if they overlook this issue in 2026.
