Big Tech's control over Hollywood may have crossed a line after Amazon MGM dumped Luca Guadagnino's biopic of OpenAI co-founder and CEO Sam Altman this week. Amazon offered no explanation other than that the film, "Artificial," starring Andrew Garfield as Altman, would be better off at another studio. But the company in February committed a $50 billion investment in the AI company, which is slated to launch an initial public offering as soon as this year.
